Congenital bilateral pseudoarthrosis is an extremely rare condition. We report a neonate with bilateral congenital clavicle pseudoarthrosis. The neonate had a palpable gap bilaterally. Radiological examination confirmed the diagnosis. The baby had a complete spontaneous healing in a year. We review the recent literature.
Introduction
Congenital bilateral pseudoarthrosis is a rare condition and only a small number has been reported. This disorder usually presents on the right side, while cases on the left side have usually dexiocardia. It is a prominence of the affected side, with bone protrusion under the skin. Shoulder movements are normal. The clavicle is formed from two ossification centers that unite prenatally. In full term newborns the clavicle presents as solid bone. Failure to coalesce can create congenital pseudoarthrosis.1, 2, 3, 4
We present a newborn that was diagnosed as bilateral congenital clavicle pseudoarthrosis, after the initial clinical and radiological examination. Further follow up in a year, revealed union with normal formation of both clavicles. To the best of our knowledge, spontaneous union for congenital clavicle pseudoarthrosis has not been previously reported.

Case presentation
A male full term baby was born, with normal vaginal uncomplicated labor. He was the second child of normal parents. There was an uncomplicated pregnancy. Apgar score was 9 in 1min and 10 in 10min respectively.
He had the typical pediatric evaluation for a newborn. During examination there was a feeling of a gap in both clavicles. There was no pain or crepitus during movements of the arms.

Congenital pseudoarthrosis of the clavicle is a rare condition. It presents as a painless prominence in the middle of the clavicle, mainly as an aesthetic problem, rarely affecting the movements of the shoulder.2
The clavicle is the first bone to have ossification during antenatal period. Two membranous ossification centers appear at 6 weeks. Fusion of the two centers occurs around the 7th week of gestation. Recently, objective information was provided for the growth of the primary ossification
Conclusion
We report a unique case of a new born with bilateral congenital clavicle pseudoarthrosis, diagnosed with clinical and radiological examination. The segments of the clavicle united spontaneously with normal size and configuration of both clavicles. The most possible explanation is the delayed union of the primary ossification centers of the clavicle.
